Delordson Kallon of LightSwitch Extras has created a LightSwitch theme called Jet Pack.

clip_image001

This allows you to get the look created in the article: Help Desk: An Advanced Visual Studio LightSwitch Application, without the need to create custom Silverlight controls.

To implement the theme, just install it and apply it.

The theme can also be used when you have implemented Silverlight Custom Controls. The theme is still needed because the tabs and the background for the shell can only be altered by a theme.

The image above shows the Help Desk: An Advanced Visual Studio LightSwitch Application, before and after the theme is applied.

Get The Theme

You can purchase the theme in 6 different colors (Blue, Green, Orange, Purple, Red, Yellow) as well at 24 other themes here:

Re: The LightSwitch JetPack Theme

Ha.. ha.. I see his name. :) Wouldn't be nice to release it as FREE theme when he already created (and have to admit that his final version is far better than what I came up with).

I'll move on to my next extension.

Re: The LightSwitch JetPack Theme

Hi,

I just tried to download the extension pack and after paying the 36 bucks which is quite reasonable the link i got redirected too failed. Just failed to resolve so now i have to contact PayPal and get my money back.

It looked quite good up until that point!

Re: The LightSwitch JetPack Theme

Hi Ralph,

Sorry you had problems with the link on the Market Themes page. We did a major update over the weekend and it looks like somethings gone wrong with that link. I'll update straight away. In the meantime I've sent you a direct link which you can download from.

My apologies once again for the inconvenience.

Thanks
Delordson

Re: The LightSwitch JetPack Theme

Hi,

Thanks very much for the prompt turn around, i haven't had a chance to retry the download link but i'll let you know how i get on. This was the quickest turnaround i've seen from a software supplier, my typical reaction was that i was simply ripped off... apologies lesson learnt.

I'll let you know how i get on

Re: The LightSwitch JetPack Theme

Hi Ralph,

Let me know how you get on. If all else fails I'll email you a zipped file :)

I've just tried the link on the themes page and it worked for me so hopefully it was only a temporary hiccup.

Thanks
Delordson

Re: The LightSwitch JetPack Theme

I downloaded succesfully.

I have a logo image defined but all I get when using the outlook shell is a white rectangle in the top right corner.
Any ideas?

Re: The LightSwitch JetPack Theme

Hi,
I have the JetPack Green theme. With this theme the 'selected tab' is not differentiated from the other tabs. Is it possible to have the 'active' tab (and/or navigation button from the Outlook Bar shell) in another color ?
